Teen Tech Fiction Recommendation

By: Conor Kostick
New Earth is an agrarian society where all violence has been banned. Battles are settled in Epic, a fantasy computer game, where citizens of New Earth accumulate wealth as well as settle their differences. When Erik’s father is unjustly punished by the ruling power, Central Allocations, it is up to Erik to find a way to save him. In trying to save his father, Eric must question the rules of Epic and decide if he is brave enough to confront Central Allocations and fight for his father's freedom. Conor Kostick, the author of Epic, was the creator of the world's first live fantasy role-playing game, so he brings a lot of knowledge about that type of gaming to the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys computer role-playing games or who loves fantasy books in general.

Teen Tech Novel Recommendation - Finding Lubchenko

Finding Lubchenko
By Michael Simmons
Having a millionaire father sounds like it would be nice, but Evan’s father wants him to learn the value of money, so he makes him work for his company earning minimum wage, but Evan has found a way to make his job pay more than minimum wage. His father’s company deals in medical technologies and there are always computers and printers lying around just asking to be taken, so Evan steals them sells them on Ebay. When Evan’s father is accused of murder, a crime Evan is sure he didn’t commit, he realizes that one of the stolen laptops contains an email that could be the key to unlocking the case. He could go to the cops, but that would mean admitting he had stolen the laptop in the first place. Instead, he and two of his friends decide to go to Paris to find Lubchecnko, the mysterious emailer, and identify the true murderer. This novel is great for readers who want a book that is fast-paced and suspenseful with a little romance and humor thrown in for good measure.

Teen Tech Book Review - rob&sara.com

How much can you really know about someone you meet online? When Sara posts a poem on an online poetry bulletin board, all she gets is criticism. Then she receives an email from Rob, a guy she doesn't know, who tells her he liked her poem. Sara is flattered by his compliment, and the two begin emailing each other regularly and develop a close friendship. Rob tells Sara that he is living in a boarding school for "troubled" teens. This doesn’t bother Sara at first, but then she receives an email from one of the other students at Rob's school warning her that he isn't who he claims to be. At first Sara can't believe that Rob could be deceiving her, but she can't help wondering if she really knows him as well as she thinks she does. Rob&sara.com is a suspenseful page-turner that will hold your interest from the first page to the last.

Book Review Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Twlight by Stephenie Meyer is a great book for all those who enjoy romance, suspense and mystery. When Bella Swan moves to Forks, Washington to live with her father, she resigns herself to a life of boredom in small town. She couldn't be more wrong. On her first day of school, Bella meets the handsome and mysterious Edward Cullen, and though he seems to hate being in the same room as her, she can't deny her attraction to him. Bella soon finds out that Edward's inexplicable reaction to her has to do with a dark secret, something that makes Edward very different from other high school boys. This book is sure to leave readers hungry for more, and luckily, Meyer has already published two sequels New Moon and Eclipse.
The Borders website has a great video of a discussion between Stephanie Meyer and a group of her readers. http://www.bordersmedia.com/shows/bookclub/meyer.asp
Visit Stephenie Meyer's website for information about Twilight the movie. http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/
