1)The tone of this image is sad, poor,or lonely. One detail from the image is the way the kids look. Their clothes and bodily images are terrible.
2)The author's purpose is to show how kids had to live in Lower East NYC,which is horribly cruel. Many people dont really care about certain of lives people have to live & this was a good way of showing it.
3)The author's perspective based on the image is no poverty. Kids should always be in a safe situation, but that doesn't always happen.
Joshua Schalk/Neville/Bell 4
1) The tone is naive. This is shown by the kids not caring where they are yet they still play and enjoy thierselves.
2)The artist's purpose is to show the conditions that the kids live in and yet they still have no cares and play normally.
3) The artist's perspective is that the kids could care less about how everyone else lives because they have each other and as much fun as everyone else.

1.)The Authors tone is Fun, Poor, and careless because the kids look poor and they are still having fun and they dont care.
2.) The author purpose is to show that you can still have fun without having much to play with because it looks like they are just playing with water.
3.)The perspective is that kids should be able to play while they are young with no worrys as long as they are being safe, and smart.
Payton Brown/Mrs. Dailey/Bell 1

Question 1) The tone of the image is sad. This is shown by the obviously poor living conditions of people back then.

1. The tone of the image is playful. A bunch of kids are playing in a pool on summer day.
2. The artist's purpose is to show that sometimes kids don't look at differences. Even in the late 60's when racism was common, black & white kids were playing together.
3. The author's perspective is aganist racism. In the picture, the kids are happily playing together even though they are of different races.
Ashley Baldock/Neville/Bell 5
1. I think the tone of this picture is inconsidersate and poor. I say that because the kids look poor and it seems as if no one cares.
2. I think the authors purpose was to show that a lot of people don't care about others conditions.
3. The authors perspective is that poverty is a bad thing and kids need safer and cleaner envirnments to live in.
