Women's Suffrage Cartoon - "The Sky is Now Her Limit"
Nikki Steigleiter/Mrs. Dailey/ Bell 1 Image One. Question #1: The tone of the image is sad. One detail is the girl doesn't look happy, she's in poor clothing and the ladder is a stairway to heaven. Question #2: The artist's is to inform and explain. The artist is informing us the suffrage women have by showing the ladder, and suffrage leading to death. Question #3: The author's perspective based on the image is showing their belief on women's suffrage, the difference in genders. The author focus's on the ladder which says all the things women suffer from
Bria Mapp/Mrs.Dailey/Bell:3 1)The tone of this image is sad and lonely. The look of her clothes look very worn, she looks tired and wore out. 2)The purpose of the artist was to inform other women how women had to work but didn't get treated as equally as men did, some women don't appreciate it enough. 3)The author's perspective is women's suffrage and how the difference of your gender made life so much more difficult.The author puts the ladder in the middle of the image. That shows how far they had to get to get treated equally.
Joshua Schalk/Neville/Bell 4 1) The tone of the picture would be inspired. She is inspired to go farther than she has ever gone before. 2)The artist's purpose is to show that after women suffrage that women could go anywhere they wanted to. 3)The author's perspective is that women are now able to go wherever they dream or try to go.
Faith Bolin/Mrs.Dailey bell 5 1. the tone of this image is depressing. it shows how the social classes are unequal. 2.the artist purpose waas to show how the people of the community were unfair, it showed whose was wealthy, in the middle, and who was in debt. 3.the author perspective was to let you know how wrong it was and how hard it was for the peole that werent getting equality/ rights.
Rachelle Geiger/Mrs.Dailey/Bell:5 1. The tone of the picture is depressing. I think this because equal rights is really far up and she's a girl.
2. The purpose is to get equal rights for women, beacause equal rights is bold and the person is a girl.
3. The author's perspective is that women should have equal rights and not have to fight for it. I think this because the equal rights step is really far up.
Sarah Jones/ Dailey/ bell 5 1. The tone of this picture is depressing because it's showing how much more work the women had to do than the men. 2. The artist's purpose is to show somre of the things that women went through before they started to be treated more equally. 3. The author's perspective is that it's sad how the women were treated and it should have changed earlier.
Brittini Bach/Dailey/Bell 5 1) the tone is sad because she is going to have to figure things out on her own and adjust to a different life style 2) the artists purpose is to show you that just because you want something so bad doesn't mean it's actually gonna make you happy. 3) the perspective is from a girl who has been worked a little too hard.
Stephanie Russell/Mrs.Dailey/Bell 5 1.)the tone of the image is hopeful. 2.) THe artists purpose was to show that women have come a long way from where they used to be in society and that it was a long upward journey. 3.)The authors perspective is that women are now empowered and that they have a place in society.
1. The tone of the image is empowered. At the end of the ladder there is a light at in the darkness.
2. The artist's purpose is to explain how women felt when they were able to become more equal to men. The prongs on the ladder show a higher quality than the last.
3. The author's perspective is to voice their belief in women's rights. The prongs on the ladder improve women's rights and portrays it as a good thing.
Ashley Baldock/Neville/Bell 5 1. The tone of this image i think could be either said and/or hopeful. Yeah you can see the discrimation towards woman by simply what she's doing; but you can also see the hope in her eyes as she looks up the staircase. Also in the title itself, "The Sky is Now her Limit". She's able to accomplish big and better things because her options are now unlimited. 2. The author's purpose was to show that after women encountered so much discrimination and delt with so much suffering, that there was hope at the end. 3. The author's perspective is that women now have freedom and options.
Melvin Lawson III/Neville/Bell 1\ Q1 The tone of the picture is sad. One detail is she has wore out clothing on. Q2 The authors purpose is inform you by the suffrage that women had. Q3 The authors perpective is that women are tired. How hard it was for women getting rights.
Number 1) I believe the tone of the image is happy and inspiring showing that a woman can rise above and beyond things that are usually considered "right"
Number 2) The authors purpose is to support women on their way to bigger and better things. This is shown by the stairway to heaven.
Number 3) The authors perspective is that women should be able to do whatever they would like in life.
Chassity Lynch, Dailey, Bell 5 1. The tone of this image is hopeful. The girl is at the bottom of a ladder but is looking up to a bright place at the top. 2. The author's purpose is to show how women were at the of the ladder in society but through women's suffrage they can climb up to the top towards a bright future. 3. The author's perpective is that through women conquering their suffrage they fought upward to rise to the top.
